Samgye Tang - Traditional Korean Chicken Soup

A Korean classic, well known for it's health benefits from Ginseng!

The dish became common in South Korea from the 1960's and has become a staple ever since. This soup is served hot with a whole chicken inside!

Glutinous rice is added into the soup which gives this a very unique texture. Jujube is also added which you will find floating around in the soup, this is added to enhance flavour and the nutritional health benefits of the dish.

You can eat this however you like, maybe with some rice on the side or with side dishes like Kimchi. The dish is usually served with no salt seasoning, so it's up to you to decide how much salt you use to season your soup! A tip is to keep a little bit of salt on the side to dip chicken in as you eat.
